Fabrication

Until 1996 International Fire Protection totally utilized commercial fabrication. Due to the nature of the sprinkler industry it  became  necessary to begin fabricating small, quick turn around jobs.  The owners made the determination that in order to fulfill this necessity, and to meet commitment schedules, it would be in their best interest to expand fabrication capabilities.  As the company grew, so did the need for fabrication.

Since 1996 the fabrication shop has undergone two expansions and equipment upgrades.  The modern equipment, building layout, experienced employees, and dedication allows an assembly line type production, producing a high quality sprinkler system meeting or exceeding any time frame or standard.

The IFP Fabrication facility consists of a fifteen thousand square foot shop area, and a two acre pipe storage yard.  All pipe threading is done on Landis four spindle threading machines.

Fittings are pulled on by a prototype state of the art hydraulic make on machine to insure consistency and correctness of torque.  All welding is performed by certified welders utilizing plasma arch cutting techniques and MIG wire welders.
