Our factory trained Special Hazards personnel can provide turn-key systems from design through installation and test for High and Low Pressure C02 Clean Agent Systems (FM 200, FE-227, Inergen), Foam Systems, Water Spray Mist, Dry Chemical and Early Warning Air Sampling.

DESIGN

IFP’s Design/Engineer technicians possess NICET certification and use the latest release of AUTO CAD design software utilities to generate working drawings for fabrication and installation of fire protection suppression, and alarm and detection systems. Our design staff has the capability of using the customer’s electronic or paper format to create drawings for system installation and archives. We can download the customer’s electronic information to be integrated into our design process. All design work is done in accordance with requirements of the appropriate codes as issued by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).

INSTALLATION AND INSPECTION

Proper installation and follow-up service and inspection of fire protection, suppression and alarm systems are the keys to a successful operation of the system if an emergency situation should arise. Our field and design employees are frequently adjusting and learning about the changes that occur in Federal and State regulations and the requirements of the insurance industry.

We also maintain close contact with equipment manufacturers so we can allow our customers to take advantage of the latest available technology, new equipment and installation techniques.

Our field technicians who install fire protection and suppression systems must go through a complete and intensive apprenticeship program where they learn the necessary skills while working with experienced employees. They become a Journeyman after five (5) years of on-the-job training, studying and lesson  preparation in the apprenticeship program. Our Alarm and Detection technicians are not only experienced, but they are continually being trained and retrained through schools provided by equipment manufacturers. This is the only way to ensure our customers are being provided with the latest technology in intelligent and releasing systems and that our inspection and service techniques are the most modern available.

IFP stresses continued education and training with safety being our highest priority so that our customers will get the highest quality installation and service in the safest manner.
