Safety

Safety comes first at International Fire Protection. Our goal is to support all IFP employees by empowering our teams to be accountable in our commitment to zero and establish a shared mindset as we strive towards excellence in safety. At International Fire Protection we work hard to provide a safe and healthy working environment for our employees, allowing them to grow professionally and individually.

OUR COMMITMENT

At International Fire Protection we believe that quality, safety and productivity go hand in hand when working towards our team goals. One of our core values is "We Take Care of Each Other." This means that the safety of our employees is our greatest responsibility and we take safety seriously. We actively work with our employees to prevent accidents through training, team involvement, accountability and audits. Safety is everyone’s responsibility. It is through these efforts that we have seen continuous improvement in our work-related injuries over the years. A few of our Health and Safety Programs include: New Hire Orientation, required annual training, Task specific training, OSHA 10 & 30, weekly toolbox talks, and Jobsite Hazard Analysis.

SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENTS

Safety is an integral part of how we do business and we have adopted a comprehensive plan to carry out that philosophy. The policy of the company is to provide a safe working environment, free of hazards and to provide adequate safety devices and required training to all employees. It is our goal to create safety awareness among our employees so that each individual understands that he or she has the ultimate responsibility to work safely and to “Stop Work” if it is not. It is our goal to eliminate all unsafe practices and conditions.

Further, it shall be the policy of our company to:

  • Comply with federal, state, and/or local regulations governing the workplace.
  • Take expedient action to correct or isolate unsafe conditions or work practices.
  • Promote safety awareness.
  • Hold each employee accountable for his or her individual responsibility for safety and,
  • Encourage our employees to inform their supervisor immediately when unsafe conditions are present without fear of reprisal.
