The Classes will be held at our corporate office, which is located at 243 Royal Dr. Madison, AL 35758.
When signing up, if there is an available opening, you are automatically in the class so be prepared to show up. Classes are limited to 10 people for better one on one training and interaction.
IFP has partnered with the local AVID Hotel, once signed up for the class you may secure a room at a discounted rate by telling them you are coming to town for APi Group Training.

Level 1 Fire Sprinkler Beginner Course
This 4 day course was designed for a beginner / novice learning inspections of water-based fire protection. In this course we take a deep dive into NFPA 25 and learn how to read and navigate the standard. This skill is needed for NICET Level 1 testing and also instills the “why” behind why we do these inspections. Additionally, we utilize hands-on training in our fully operational sprinkler lab to learn about the different types of systems, their components, and how they work. We trip dry valves and learn resetting procedures as well as demonstrate flow characteristics of different types of sprinkler heads. Along with the NFPA / NICET training we will also cover OSHA safety training. We have had students with several years of experience as well as students with no experience that have found this class useful and have successfully passed NICET Level 1 upon completion of the class. The cost of the class is $2000. (APi family please reach out to Eddie Jett for in-house pricing). The student must bring their own copy of the 2017 Edition of NFPA 25. IFP will provide lunch.
Level 2 Fire Sprinkler Intermediate Course
This 3 day course is designed for the student that has already attended the Level 1 Beginner course or has already successfully passed NICET Level 1. This course takes a deeper dive into NFPA 25 and will prepare the student for their NICET Level 2 test. We will spend more time in the training lab and take a deeper dive into Pre-Action / Deluge and Nitrogen Systems. Some of the topics covered in this class are: Fire Pumps, Nitrogen Systems, Hydrant Flow Tests and calculations, ITM for Wet/Dry/Standpipes, Obstruction Investigation and Deficiency Classifications. Along with the NFPA / NICET training we will also cover OSHA safety training. The cost of the class is $1500. (APi family please reach out to Eddie Jett for in-house pricing). All training materials will be provided as well as lunch each day. The student MUST bring their own NFPA 25 hardcopy to this class.
Level 1 Fire Alarm Inspection & Testing Course
This 3-day in person class offers an introduction to fire alarm systems as well as an introduction to NFPA 72. The class was designed for the purpose of learning how to perform fire alarm Inspections & Testing as well as preparing the student for the Level 1 NICET test for Inspections and Testing of Fire Alarm Systems. Students will learn how to navigate NFPA 72 as well as a hands-on experience in our Fire Alarm lab with multiple types of panels and systems. The student will learn steps of inspection and testing of the FACP, testing different initiation devices, testing batteries and properly filling out reports. If you are a novice, or if you have years of experience in the Fire alarm industry this class is for you! You may have a desire to cross-train if you perform Water-Based fire protection inspections and testing to Fire Alarm inspections and testing, if so, this class is for you!
